Artist Pete Goldlust from his website...
For several years, my work has explored a sculptural landscape where human urges (libidinous, predatory and monstrous) are acted out by half-recognizable, otherworldly surrogate creatures. Since 2005, I have worked with painter Julie Hughes to create collaborative mixed media installations that

Guest Judge is non other than fashion legend and icon Diane Von Furstenberg. The intriguing spy movie "A Foriegn Affair" starring Marlene Dietric set in Berlin in the 30's/40's is the inspiration.

But when Korto shows him more of the idea with the same element in the lower slit of the dress, her "pop" proves

Apparently I am starting a theme here with street art, but I just had to pass this one along to the rest of you.
Julian Beever is an artist who draws renderings on the streets and sidewalks with chalk that, when looked at in the proper angle, appear to be 3D. Says Julian, "It doesn't worry me at all that this drawing will disappear after a couple of days in the rain, because the final product is the photograph," he said. "It's that photograph that goes on the Internet. Then thousands of people will see it. It will be there forever. It doesn't vanish, really. The drawing on the ground is just a vehicle." "In the past, I felt quite insecure really on the first day, not knowing that I would have enough time to get it finished. I've tried to be a little bit more cool about it. I've done so

As a web developer, one of my favorite sites to read every day is SitePoint. Today I found an article that could be of use to everyone here at Canvas Junkie.
From the site... "The SitePoint Photography forum reveals that there are a number of very talented photographers hanging out around SitePoint. For many of you, photography is an amateur affair, strictly a hobby that you do in your spare time. But wouldn’t it be nice if you could take that library of beautiful photos and start drawing a passive income from them without having to put too much effort into it? According to Forbes, amateur-produced stock photos have become a huge business on the web. Last year, one such site called iStockPhoto paid photographers a whopping $20.9 million in royalties. Surprisingly, though, even with
- Despite possessing a shadowy and strangely scented mystique that is all their own, subways are seldom held to be the most beautiful features of the urban landscape.
So giving a young artist a grant to brighten up a Birmingham underpass and teach people about art at the same time must have seemed like a good idea. But the installation did not go according to plan. "I did pretty much the whole wall," said Bloor, who
